• Our Lessons are only given from late July to September every year, depending on swell.
• Lessons are given 7 days a week, from 8:30am to 6:00pm. First booked first served.
• Lessons are booked a head of time, but a last minute call is needed the morning of the lesson to confirm that there are still waves.
• Everyone taking a lesson will need to sign an accident wavier form, and will agree to listen to the nes instructors, respecting all safety procedures.
• Lessons are given to individual's over the age of 8 who are really good swimmers. Anyone persons under the age of 17 will need a legal adult to sign our accident waiver form, and stay on the beach, or take the lesson as well during the hour.
• We are NOT a surf camp, so parents or legal adults must stay during the lesson.
• The cost of an one hour Surf lesson is $65.00. No checks, money orders and cash are accepted. Payment is due before the lesson takes place.
• The lesson includes a beginner surfboard only. No wetsuits are needed when water temps are over 63 degrees. The water will be a little cold at first either way. No wet shoes are provided, Nantasket beach has a sand bottom and is a clean beach, but with like any beach, we are not responsible for trash, rocks, or any other objects on the ocean bottom, so you are welcome to bring your own wet shoes, we do not wear them.
• The lesson consist of, Ocean Safety, paddling, catching a wave, poping up on the surfboard, correct stance on the surfboard, and the "how to" of surfing.
• Your lesson will start on the beach, learning the safety rules, Etiquette, and how to stand, and pop up on the surfboard.
• You will then spend time out on the water with an nes instructor learning how to catch waves, and try to stand up on a moving surfboard.
• Not everyone will stand up on the surfboard the first lesson, but we will teach you the "how to of surfing," to take with you.
• To book a lesson you must call, or email us. Emailing is better to place you on the list, but both ways are fine. We will confirm your message, and place you on a list. Your lesson will be booked a week in advance depending on weather conditions. In your email please include: (sex) (age) (best time for a lesson, day, and time) Our list fills up fast.
• The surf season north of the cape to the north shore of MA, is from Late August to June. July is the flattest month of the year. Water temps averages the 60's, from Late July to late September.

Surfing is not only a sport, it becomes a way of life. Our lessons will point you in the right direction, teaching you "The How To Of Surfing!"
