Unlike some sites, we monitor the cam pages daily for incoming traffic. We then make decisions on the cam upload time, between minutes or seconds. Why do we do this? With the cams we use, we can change the image upload times, though it may take longer before you will see an updated image, at least you will be able to see one. When the cam is over whelmed with ip address calling it up, the image on the page loads slower, and sometimes not at all. When we make the upload times further apart, there is less images being sent out, and can move much faster, letting more people view the cam at once.

If you cant get a cam image, please hit refresh, a few times if you have to. Remember some days we have over 2000 people on the cams at one time. If you use our cams a lot, streaming may be your best bet, though the streaming slows down a little with high traffic, it is still close to the second on each frame. You must download axis controls to view streaming, this file pops-up when the cam page is loaded. (streaming) You must download the file, which is small, and allows you to view most axis streaming cams on the web. This file is good for our once in a while streaming promotions.

Streaming is nice, it is better to see the surf or wind moving, but the streaming can slow down, do to high traffic on the cam pages. Every time another person loads a cam page to view the cam, the cam will get slower. On a summer day when you have a few thousand people visiting the cam pages the cam begins to not load for some of our viewers.

We spend lots money out of our own pockets for hosting services, the cams, and lots of other stuff. So we decided to keep the streaming, and charge a small fee for it. This way only a small chosen few will be viewing the streaming cams, and the thousands of other viewers can see a live updated image.
